Revlon Lip Butters finally made their way to Australia and I have picked up three so far so i just wanted to tell you a bit about what I think of them and my thoughts. I know that a huge hype has been surrounding them so I was super excited to finally try them out for myself.
The three colours I picked up are Lollipop, Sweet Tart and Candy Apple.
These moisturizing lipsticks/coloured balms are priced at $22 each but you can find them on deals at Priceline and Myer. There is a huge selection of colours so you will be sure to find one you love.
Lollipop is a dark berry pink with purple undertones and it's a colour i don't usually go for but I actually really like. It's quite a pigmented colour and you can build it up to be really intense.
Sweet Tart is a glossy baby cremecicle pink and is my current go-to lip colour that i love having with me at all times especially out and about. It just adds a lovely wash of colour and is absolutely gorgeous. Its a gorgeous light shade but still pigmented at the same time.
Candy Apple is a gorgeous bright berry red colour that goes on as a hydrating balm while still giving a really pigmented red lip! A less drying and less intense version of a dark red lip using MAC 'Ruby Woo'.
When deciding which colours I was going to chose to try out first, I was really drawn towards the light pinks like "Cupcake" but once I swatched them they didn't really appeal to me anymore because they were so sheer. So although all of the colours i have talked about have been very pigmented, doesn't mean the whole Lip Butters range is, it's just that I specifically went searching for the pigmented ones.
I was really impressed with the huge colour selection and how moisturizing they are which is unlike most lip products that are as pigmented as the butters are.
Below are swatches for all three colours; Lollipop, Sweet Tart then Candy Apple.
Have you tried out the Revlon Lip Butters? Have any colours to recommend?
