DRAGONBERRY CANDY COUTURE FASHION SHOW

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a beautiful fashion show put together by Dragonberry in celebration of their Candy Couture launch. This event showcased the new candy inspired collection which consists of a beautiful mix from rompers to jumpers, each made with beautiful pastel colours. It was an absolutely fantastic event and really well organised so keep reading to look more into this colourful fashion show!

Wearing: Manning Cartel Top, Missguided Skirt, Louis Vuitton Purse, Cartier Rose Gold Bracelet, Hermes Cuff and Holster Shoes.

The "Candy Couture" range is inspired by the pastels of lolly hearts and it definitely translates into the pieces that have been created for this collection. The colour scheme is primarily candy floss blue and baby pink with hints of lilac and peach thrown in for good measure. Something that is great to see and that Dragonberry doesn't disappoint with is that it's an affordable range with all of these pieces being under $60, hitting the price point of these statement pieces perfectly. Also don't forget to show your student card on Tuesdays for 25% off, just another way Dragonberry makes fashion forward pieces affordable to students like myself.

Included in the show were more daring pieces such as those featured above where the prints are bold and very themed. I love the pastel blue and pink but find the candy heart print to be a little outgoing but not completely unwearable.  Although at times this print can give a bit of a bedtime feel, I think if paired with the right pieces and accessories as well as worn on the right occasion, could definitely work.

Also included in this collection are very wearable pieces with more of a subtle candy theme. My two favourites from this collection are above including the lilac coloured playsuit and the peach and lilac two tone dress. My absolutely favourite is the "Cotton Candy" dress on the end because it incorporates peach and lilac impeccably as well as perfecting my current favourite neckline combined with a skater skirt inspired bottom. This piece will definitely be added to my collection soon.
Also on the night was a fairy floss machine (such a cute novelty...and delicious), complimentary drinks (pink and with striped straws of course), a DJ and goodie bags packed with products from their amazing sponsors (including Sally Hansen, The Body Shop and many more).
Featured above are the beautiful creators of this collection.
I had a fantastic night and I think that it was a well planned event to launch their new collection. I have been enjoying Dragonberry's clothes a lot recently so will potentially create a lookbook that features some of their pieces.

Thank you for reading.

  3. I invested in this new dress, it is longer than expected, perfect to wear with heels. I couldn't tell in the photos but the dress has a slight train in the back which is very elegant.
