I have always been one to go all out for Christmas; from holiday themed candles to festive red lipsticks and nails are no exception. In this post I am sharing with you five festive colours to get your nails Christmas ready.
I'll be the first one to admit I'm an OPI junkie so it's unsurprising that four out of the five nail polishes in this post are shades from the brand. Also to the same ratio, most have a sparkle. You can't have Christmas without a little shimmer.
OPI "Gettin' Miss Piggy With It"
Starting out with the reds because that is definitely a go-to for the silly season. Here I have an extravagant primarily red glitter with hints of silver. This one looks great on it's own or adds something a bit special over the top of a plain red polish.
OPI "OPI Red"
Looking for the ultimate candy apple red? Look no further because "OPI Red" is a cult classic and although it's just one of their many red hued options, it is my personal favourite. Opaque in one coat and your good to go on your merry way.
Chanel "Graphite"
Woah a nail polish that isn't OPI and yes I am feeling okay. It may seem hard to believe since lately I've been non-stop about the OPI's but I love this Chanel shade for the Christmas time. It's a beautiful silver tinsel colour that will have your nails shining bright in the lead up to the holidays. It can be purchased from Chanel counters at David Jones and Myer.
OPI "Fresh Frog of Bel Air"
We can't forget about the green in Christmas, even if it isn't a typical choice for nail polish colours. This allows for a subtle pop of the shade if you wear it over a white of silver nail polish otherwise you can apply a few coats for an opaque green glitter look.
OPI "Glow Up Already"
We had silver with Chanel "Graphite" so I had to include a gold glitter option. Although this polish is primarily gold, it has flecks of green and red...yep you heard me. This polish is the embodiment of everything Christmas all crammed into one little bottle.
Just a FYI- OPI can be purchased from David Jones, however you will find cheaper stocklists of the brand at Chemists and discount beauty stores. Two of these shades came from The Muppets Collection, which is still available for purchase.
