For lip product junkie such as myself, choosing the perfect colour to wear on Christmas day and around the season is a topic on my mind each year. Red often seems like the go-to and of course that's a fantastic option so I have three of my favourite seasonal reds to discuss. However, I thought that I would also mix things up a bit by bringing a few berry and pink options into the mix with three other festive shades to share. Let's get into it.
The RedsMAC Ruby Woo
A cult classic included in such articles as "Why Every Woman Should Own Ruby Woo" so there's no denying this deep red is a great pick for the holiday season.
MAC Lustering
This sheertoned shade brings to the table a more wearable and subtle red option.
MAC Im-Passioned
Being Summer during Christmas in the southern hemisphere, hot cherry red undertones in lipsticks such as these make for a great holiday shade.
MAC Girl About Town
This rich and deep berry toned lippie is the perfect mixture of red and pink, making for an interesting pout colour. My favourite thing about this lipstick is that it is completely buildable; enabling you to wear it as a sheer tint or build it up to a bold and eye catching cranberry.
MAC Pink Nouveu
This is my go-to everyday colour so you may be wondering what makes this so special for the festive season. Simply because it's a neutral and nude option that I know suits most skin tones and if you're having a low key Christmas/ don't want anything dramatic then this is definitely my recommendation.
MAC Candy Yum Yum
This electric hot pink and probably the boldest of it's kind that MAC offer, making it an incredible statement lip colour for the holiday season. Definitely make an impact with this nearly neon shade and wait for the compliments to roll in because this is by far the most eye catching lip product that I own.

As much as I love MAC there's no denying the stunning offerings from the luxury brand Dior and I couldn't help but include two holiday season essentials from them.
Dior Addict Fluid Stick "Mona Lisette"
No festive lip colours post is complete without a vibrant candy apple red gloss and that is exactly what this Dior Fluid Stick encompasses. Add this over the top of any red lipstick for something extra or wear it on it's own for a look that is still bold but less dramatic.
Dior Lip Glow
Nothing can ruin a lip colour more than cracked and dry lips that product clings to so to keep your pout smooth and avoid chapped lippies have a great balm on hand. My favourite is the Dior Lip Glow because it is a colour reviver balm that leaves a slight tint on your lips, personalised to you as it reacts to each individual's lip pigmentation, differently.
