NYX STICK BLUSH / REVIEW AND SWATCHES

While powder and cream blushes are extremely common, I find that I come across stick blushes a lot less and for that reason I wanted to try out the range NYX offer.

I picked up two different shades from the collection; 01 Magnolia which is a pink and 06 Orchid which is more of a coral.

Colour
I love both shades for entirely different reasons. Magnolia is the most stunning candy pink and is one of my favourite colours while Orchid has a beautiful sunset iridescent glow throughout it. In total, the collection includes 8 colour selections so there is sure to be a shade that catches your eye!

Application
Either use your finger tips to pick up some product or directly apply the colour to your cheek and then blend it in using the warmth of your fingertips. Time wise, this product is quite efficient because all you need is a quick swipe then rub in and you have a natural looking sheen of colour.

Pigmentation
As you can tell from the swatches above, these shades are extremely pigmented particularly Magnolia which shows up a much brighter pink than initially expected. Whereas Orchid applies as more of a light peach and subtle coral when the packaging suggests a bunt orange shade.

The great thing about these is that you are able to wear them as a natural hint of colour or, since they are buildable, work them into a deep and bold cheek colour. Due to this, these would be great for all skin tones since the intensity is entirely up to you.

Price and Availability
The NYX Blush Stick retails for $6 and is available from many online boutiques such as iKateHouse, Beauty Joint and Cherry Culture. Unfortunately, Target doesn't stock this particular product within their NYX line so you will have to go online.

My verdict is that I would recommend these as a fun and different blush alternative that is quick and easy to apply as long as you don't mind messy fingers.
