YOUR GUIDE TO BUYING URBAN DECAY PALETTES

It can be difficult to decide which Urban Decay palette to spend your money on, especially when you are presented with so many amazing options but I'm here with tips and recommendations to help you decide on your perfect palette.

I have chosen my three favourite Urban Decay palettes to give you an idea of my favourite from each kind they offer; naked palettes, basic palettes as well as their assorted colour palettes.

The Naked Palettes ($78)
My choice out of the three available options here is definitely the original Naked Palette. The reason I prefer this particular palette over the other two is because each of the eyeshadows have quite a warm base to them. When it comes to metallic and shimmery shades, my preference is warm toned since I find they are easier to blend together and much more wearable for my skin tone.

The Basics Palettes ($42)
On the other hand, sometimes I prefer my eyeshadows have a cool undertone, especially with matte formulations. That's why I recommend the Naked Basics 2 Palette over the original. Not only that but I find the colours to be a lot more wearable for everyday wear and they seamlessly go together so well for a neutral eyeshadow look. I love how compact this palette is because it's the perfect size for travel or keeping in your daily makeup bag.

The Colourful Options ($50-$70)
Urban Decay have a few multi-coloured palettes that include a variety of colours and neutrals. My favourite of theirs is definitely the Shadow Box ($50) because it has a little bit of everything in it. This palette makes it easy to experiment with colour because each of the shades are so wearable and the combinations are endless. If you prefer more bold and bright colours then the Electric palette ($70) is sure to make a statement.

Purchasing an Urban Decay palette is somewhat an investment since they are quite pricey, but definitely worth every cent because of their amazing quality.

Although it's all too easy to just choose the palette that you have heard most about, my best tip is to have a good look at the selection of colours and ask yourself if you will wear them daily, weekly or nightly. Also decide if you want mostly cool toned or warm toned eyeshadows, most likely based on which suit your skin tone most or which you find easiest to use.

Hopefully using these tips and recommendations will help you find your perfect palette because it's amazing to have a go-to set of eyeshadows every morning that you don't have to think too much about or fuss around with.
