In less than 3 weeks I will once again be saying 'Later's Brisbane' and 'HELLO LA' (after a grueling 13 hour flight though). I'm back in the USA and this time seeing a whole lot more than I did last Octover.
It has been so long since I sat down in my office and just had a chat with you all mainly because I have had SO MUCH going on lately. It’s both fantastic and unfortunate because it means that I now have heaps to fill you in on but haven’t had time to do so until now. So let’s get into it! My head has been spinning lately trying to balance work, university and planning my USA trip. Let’s start off with the USA trip!
We are less than 3 weeks out from the holiday and I haven’t really divulged much about where I’m going or what I have planned there. So I will give you a quick little overview everything. I am headed there with my boyfriend and we are going to be travelling around 6 different cities! If you didn’t already know – I was in the States back in October last year and travelled primarily around the West Coast. This time we are travelling the West Coast again but also venturing over to the other side of the country too. We will be going to Los Angeles, Yosemite National Park, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Washington and New York.
I am beyond excited for this perfect mix of work and play. I am going to be in full holiday mode but still have a few meetings lined up so that I don’t feel completely guilty for taking so much time off from work. No need to be alarmed though – blog posts will remain consistent on the blog so that you aren’t left without while I’m away.
Last time I was able to write up some blog posts during my stay in the US and have them published in real-time while I was still there. I am hoping that this will be the case again because I feel like it’s a ‘dear diary’ where I let you in on my adventures on the day.
So although everything is all booked for the holiday I feel much less prepared than last time. It might be because I haven’t even thought about packing and in fact need a new suitcase. It might also be because I have anxiety over the amount of work I need done prior to leaving. Whatever it is, hopefully it lifts soon because I just want the excitement of going away without the stress!
Now that’s enough about the trip – let me quickly fill you in on what else has been going on. University has been challenging but I have been staying on top of it and am SO happy with all of my grades that have been coming out. I have been getting top results and amazing feedback from my teachers on all of my assessment!! I honestly can’t believe how well I am doing in Uni and am so proud of myself that in my last year I am finishing up with strong results. The assessment has come and gone so quickly where now I only have 1 group assignment to be done before I leave and then 3 exams to complete the week that I get back from my trip.
Okay - I have talked your ear off enough for one post so I think I might leave it here but can’t wait to catch up with you again in the next post! I definitely need to write these up more often!
Thanks for reading!
