Gwen Stefani is an icon for makeup and has recently even released a makeup palette of her own in collaboration with Urban Decay.
She has always been such an inspiration for makeup and always looks flawless so I wanted to talk about three makeup tips that I have learned from her.
Blondes can rock a nude lip too
I
am often really hesitant to trial a nude lip because being so blonde
and pale means that such a light colour can wash me out. Fortunately I
have not let this deter me from drying different nude shades and seeing
how these might work for me especially because Gwen often looks gorgeous
when wearing a similar shade. Due to this I have tried some amazing
pale colours that I can actually get away with wearing and that don't
make me look like a ghost.
Red lips are a go-to
Gwen Stefani is iconic for rocking a classic bold red lip and she often inspires me to opt for a cherry red. My recommendations are definitely MAC Ruby Woo and Maybelline Rose Rush from the Rebel Bloom Collection. Incorporate this into your weekly makeup routine and rock a red lip out to dinner or even to the office on a Friday lunch outing.
Never hesitate to experiment
If there is one thing you can depend on Gwen for is to switch up her makeup and shock you with different looks. Especially in her No Doubt days she would come out with some killer unique looks that inspired you to try new and different things.
