So it’s official – we are now in May! Yeah….scary, I know.
This year has just
flown by and I have been keeping so busy I haven’t noticed the time get away
from me since my last update. I thought that I would make a cup of coffee (my
third for the day) and sit down to fill you in on what has been happening in my
world.
I've been on holiday, studying, working, working out, getting back on top of YouTube and doing some major overhauls around the house. Can't wait to catch you up...
I ran away to Asia for a bit
So I went to Thailand and Singapore a few weeks back for an impromptu holiday to get away from things for a little bit. I had a huge social media detox while I was away, only touching my phone upon returning to Australia and posting all of my adventures then. Some highlights from the trip include; island hopping around the Phi Phi islands, riding a Jet Ski (and crashing it), eating authentic Pad Thai, visiting the Buddah Tooth Relic Temple, China Town and Little India in Singapore. I could go on...but it was a great first experience in Asia and I'll definitely be back.
Work. Study. Repeat
Now between university and working, I haven't had a lot of time. The workload in my job has been extremely heavy lately and causing me a bit of stress, particular the before and after work events but they are also a lot of fun. University has been steady, with assessments due pretty much every weekend but it is now ramping up for a huge set of assessments due for week 13 of the semester. I'm going to have to get really stuck into it to get everything done but the results I have gotten back for my work so far is keeping me excited and motivated about my course work.
I be up in the gym - working in on my fitnessI have still be getting in the rhythm of a health and fitness routine which incorporates hot Pilates, Yoga and gym sessions (with boxing). I have been trying my hardest to eat really well and make small swaps to healthier alternatives. I'm trying to stick to a high protein, healthy fats and vegetable diet. This also incorporates fruit and some complex carbs such as quinoa, brown rice, sweet potato etc. If I'm being honest I live off a sushi diet most of the time because it's quick, easy and sashimi fits in with the high protein and healthy fats diet. That and a heap of Mexican made from black rice with heaps of avocado and fresh veg...hungry yet?

Fall Clean Out
Other than that, I feel like I have been nesting lately. I have been doing a lot of re-organising and spring cleaning (only we're in Autumn). This includes trips to the dump, donating a lot of things and getting everything clean and in order. I feel a LOT better for doing this so if you feel a bit bogged down in your current space - try some of those things and you will definitely notice a big difference.
Okay so that's enough about me! What's been happening with you?
