This year thanks to my friends at Schwarzkopf, I went backstage MBFF to scope out all the latest hair trends to hit the runway.
I loved what I saw! Everywhere I turned; curls, curls and...you guessed it...more curls. What struck me was the perfect balance of loose waves while still maintaining their structure. Definitely a trends to follow this Spring season that perfectly compliments florals and peachy makeup tones.
The fairytale theme this year was exquisitely executed through all aspects of the festival. From glitter tablecloths to place glasses of bubbly and the whimsical purple/aqua lighting theme really set the tone for all the fashion forward designed being displayed.
Napoleon Perdis had the makeup covered and it was all about dewy skin, light eyes and coral lips. Literally my idea of Spring perfection and one I'll be closely following this season.
As for the fashion, there was an amazing mix of stunning ball gowns, asymmetrical swimmers, bohemian chic, futuristic garments and some gorgeous sleepwear fit for a princess.
Some pieces were totally not my style but I want to buy just to sit there and look at because they are pieces of work. Other garments really caught my eye and would look killer while others could be mixed and matched to be more wearable on the daily.
See below for heaps of pics I snapped on the runway and my favourite designs from the festival...
