How To Stick To Your Makeup Routine On The Road

Already, it's hard to find a hairdresser you like, and now you're going to be gone for a while. You have a lot of makeup, but you won't be able to take it all with you. Many of us have start stocking up on all sorts of cosmetic products and other skincare products, but when you're on the road, you need to cut back. You can't keep up the same beauty routine while travelling as you do at home. You won't have the space or time to do your old routine, and you probably won't even have the privacy. But you might still want to look gorgeous on the road and use beauty as a way to stay safe. How can you handle it?

Bring Everything You Need 

Things like tweezers, nail files, small scissors, and antiperspirants should be in your bag. Take your hair-removal tool with you, along with some disposable razors for days when you won't be near an electrical outlet. You can either get a hair dryer or straighteners. Take neither. You can let your hair dry naturally, but keep straighteners on hand for special occasions or times when your hair just won't cooperate. Take these things with you if you use anything to whiten your teeth.

Choose Make-Up Smartly

Don't bring things you only want in case you need them. Stick to the basics and add one or two useful pieces that are important to your style.Remember that getting a tan can change the color of your skin a little bit. It might be easier to bring a BB cream instead of a foundation, blush, concealer, and highlighter. When you don't have much other makeup on, you can use an eye pencil. Bring along your favorite pencils and mascara that won't run.  

Stick With What You Know 

Stick to pretty, neutral, and fresh colors. Trendy colors of nail polish or lipstick at home might not work in a different country, so it's best to stick with the classics.  Makeup that can do more than one thing is also helpful. Instead of lipstick, use a tinted lip balm and a pencil. It will be easier to touch up on the go as well.

Travel-sized toiletries are great for short trips, but if you're going to be gone for more than a week, it's better to bring full-sized options. If you don't, you'll have to look for new ones every few days, which will cut into the time you have to have fun and explore. If you've found moisturizers, body washes, shampoos, or perfume Paris,  that work for you that can be used for more than one thing, take those.

Choose Brands Wisely

This will be up to each person. Do you want to buy expensive products that work or a brand from the drugstore that works less well but costs less? Imagine how you'd feel if your Chanel perfume leaked in your suitcase or your Dior lipgloss went missing after a night in a hostel. What do you think? Would the options at the drug store be better?
